在台湾乡土文学发展史上,从大陆赴台的女作家林海音的作品占据着重要的地位。在《城南旧事》中,林海音选取儿童视角,通过主人公英子的眼光和口吻对她所体验的世界和情感进行描绘,其中融入了作家对于过往人生的诗性反顾和思考。小说表层的成长叙事承载的是一个历经沧桑的成年人的恋旧情感,作者试图通过对童年故土的回忆来弥补现实的缺失,寻求心灵的安稳。缠绕于作家的主体世界中的是挥之不去的童心崇拜和家园情结,其创作目的在于寻找和重建精神家园,并在这一过程中完成对生命意义的追问。

In the history of the development of Taiwan's local literature,the works of Lin Haiyin,a woman writer from the Chinese mainland,have occupied an important position. In My Memories of Old Beijing,Lin Haiyin portrays the events and emotions experienced by Yingzi,the protagonist,by virtue of her vision and tone in the perspective of children,thus integrating Lin's poetic retrospection and reflections on her own past life. The initiation narrative at the surface level is a vehicle for homesickness and nostalgia of an adult who has undergone the vicissitudes of life,for Lin attempts to make up for the loss of reality through her childhood memories so as to seek a spiritual comfort. Lingering in the author's subjective world is her home complex and childishness worship by which she aims at a discovery and reconstruction of her spiritual world as well as the completion of her pursuit of life significance.
